All about the Parentactics program.

Comprehensive Two Part Program

1. PARENTACTICS ZOOM MASTERMIND MEETINGS.

Every week (almost every week) we have a Parentactics mastermind group meeting facillitated by one of our certified parent trainers. We answer questions, review tactics and ideas, and then practice using the tools to devlope the skills we are learning in the training program. This is where you get ongoing training and live support and encouragement from other parents just like you.

2. PARENTACTICS TRAINING VIDEOS.

There are two parts to the parentactics training program. First there is a core curriculum of 10 lessons. Each lesson builds on the other to create a comprehensive approach to connecting with and then impacting the choices of our teens. From psychological and physiological dynamics, to social and relational dynamics.

The second part of this training program is the library of additional training videos from the recorded zoom meetings and other specific topics as they come up. I sometimes call "Knowledge Nuggets."

You watch these videos on your own, and then when we meet together we discuss what you are learning, review, and then apply in the zoom meetings.

Testimonials

Real people, real stories.

I think this is an excellent program, The objectives are well structured and defined. The material is presented in an informal but highly informative way. I love the use of pictures and diagrams. The lessons are helpful, accurate and easy to understand.

Before, I was afraid, and avoiding conflicts. How do I walk on eggshells to make sure conflict doesn’t happen? Now i feel more confident knowing that conflict will happen and is a normal part of life, but now instead of running from the conflict, I feel more able to get through the conflict in a healthy way and still maintain a connection with my son.

This program has been great! I used the principle of extreme ownership.  One night he broke one of the rules and kept his phone at night when he went to bed. I got up to check on him at 2 in the morning and he was still awake and had his phone. I took his phone from him and didn’t talk to him at that time but then in the morning I calmly had a talk with him using the principle of extreme ownership and the process of complaining that I learned in the program. Instead of him getting upset and blaming me, he took immediate ownership and we had a great conversation about steps moving forward.

NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Emil Harker MS LMFT

First I'm a brother of 9 boys. I'm number 4. Then after getting married I had three sons... Yup more boys.

Before attending graduate school I worked in the child and adolescent behavioral health unit at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. Then after graduating I worked in Afton Wyoming and created the Therapeutic Foster Care program in Lincoln County where I became a certified trainer and then trained parents in the Common Sense Parenting method. Then I worked as a therapist at a Residential Treatment Center, then as a wilderness therapist. Then I went back to the hospital and worked in the adult and adolescent behavioral health units at McKay Dee hospital as a therapist.

Then in 2007 I decided to go out alone and start my private practice with my own therapeutic approach I call RFT - Relational Focused Therapy where mental health and happiness is found in the way we relate with ourselves and others.

Currently I'm a parent trainer for a private residential treatment center and due to it's profound positive impact on the parents and their son's I'm now making this program available to you.

I can't wait to show you proven strategies that help you connect with your teen and empower you to maximize your influence to create change.

O.K. There is more to my life than just therapy, I love to boat, bike, camp, cook, and do all sorts of exercise and outside stuff with my family. The problem is that I don't like eating healthy food!!! Ugh!!
